                       Traffic in OMR can be a headache for commuters especially in signals like Thiruvanmiyur, tidel park and Sholinganallur signals. With over a lakh of vehicles travelling the IT Corridor daily this poses a big challenge to the traffic police to control the flow of traffic. Chennai traffic police had already come up with initiatives like allowing only left turn in Sholinganallur signal to solve this problem. ( Traffic changes in Shollinganallur signal ).The Government of Tamilnadu is also planning on proposals like constructing an elevated corridor on the stretch. This will ease traffic to a great deal.
