To encourage higher turn around of voters on May 16, the election day for Tamilnadu Assembly Elections, 2016 , the election commission has decided to operate a seperate polling booth for the disabled at Kannagi nagar, Sholinganallur. Sholinganallur is the biggest constituency in Tamilnadu with maximum number of voters and a total of 105 disabled persons reside in Kannagi Nagar which belongs to Sholinganallur constituency.
