Chennai Football Team in Indian Super League - The IPL of Football

                                           With the Indian Premier League (IPL) of Cricket shooting to fame ,it has inspired typical leauges in other sports as well.It was ProKabbadi league  recently which increased attention on the sport of Kabbadi , a much ignored sport and now the time has come for football promising a bright future for Indian Football.

                                           Co-promoted by IMG-Reliance, Star India and All India Football Federation ,ISL is set to start on 12 th October 2014 and end on December 30,2014.The league was launched on 28 August 2014 by celebrities including Nita Ambani,Sanjay Gupta (COO of STAR India),Sachin Tendulka and ,Abhishek Bachchan.Altogether there are eight teams and Chennai is one among them. It was the final club announced to be participating in the league.The owner of Team Chennai is actor Abhishek Bachchan ."Driving Hero ISL through passion is the game plan" he announced on the launch of the league.

                                           21 players have been chosen for Team Chennai of which 7 players are from abroad from countries like France,Spain and Columbia.The team members can be found here :

                                           Sachin Tendulkar ,Ranbir Kapoor and John Abraham are also part of the ISL owners club.
