                    25 th January , the eve of Republic day is recognized as National Voter's day by the Government of India.To encourage indian citizens to vote , the Government of India has provided the facility to become a voter by enrolling online.

Here is the way to enrol:


Eligibility:


All Indian citizens born on or before 01-01-1996 (ie - those who have attained 18 years as on 01-01-2014) are eligible to enrol their name in the electrol roll

Enrolling online:


Fill form no 6 online at http://ceodelhi.gov.in/OnlineErms/login.aspx and upload your passport size photograph along with your age proof

or

You can visit your nearest Voter centre or Jeevan centre for free registration

Note:


Simply having voter ID card (EPIC) does not gaurantee your right to vote; you need to have your name in the electoral roll (Voter list)

To check your name in the voter list:

Log on to http://www.ceodelhi.gov.in/
or
SMS message EPIC<space>Voter ID card no to 9211728082
or
Call on helpline no 1950

Contact booth level officer for assistance on enrolment/ voter ID card
