There were few options considered by the government to mitigate this rapidly increasing problem.  1) Construct Bus Rapid Transit System 2) Construct an elevated highway 3)Construct flyovers at critical junctions (suggested by American consultants)                                           There was indecision regarding this for around four years and the Government has finally decided to go with a elevated highway. This might take a period of seven years to complete. Bids are already opened by the Government to prepare a Detailed Project Report(DPR) for the construction of the elevaed highway.
