Wear seat belts or pay 100 rupees!



     Chennai traffic police has mandated the use of seat belts across the city , considering the safety of passengers and the road accidents.
     A fine amount of 100 rupees should be paid if caught not wearing a seat belt. The rule has been imposed starting in highways like Old mahabalipuram road. An article by The Hindu says that so far 331 cases have been fined collecting an amount of 33000 rupees

  Beware OMR riders , Have a safe journey!

Map of Old Mahabalipuram Road

Can you spot OMR in the below satellite view of South Chennai?
